Huntsville, Ala. (Sept. 4, 2024) – In front of a packed crowd at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium, Nashville Soccer Club earned a 2-0 victory over Huntsville City FC in the first-ever open exhibition match between the two clubs. The event marked a special occasion for the Huntsville-based team, as they hosted their parent club for a night of high-quality soccer and community celebration. PHOTO GALLERY
The exhibition showcased the developing relationship between Huntsville City FC, Nashville SC's MLS Next Pro affiliate, and the senior club, allowing fans to see the connections between the two teams in action. Despite a valiant effort from Huntsville City FC, Nashville SC's experience and precision ultimately secured the win.
As part of the festivities, representatives from both clubs addressed the media, expressing excitement about the growing soccer culture in the region and the importance of fostering talent within the organization. Nashville SC's head coach praised Huntsville's recent form, while Huntsville City FC staff spoke about the opportunity to compete against such high-level opposition.
