Nashville Predators Set to Ignite 2024-25 Season: Schedule Highlights and Key Matchups

As we gear up for the 2024-25 NHL season, excitement is in the air for the Nashville Predators' 27th season. Presented by Regions Bank, the Preds will hit the ice for their season opener at Bridgestone Arena on October 10, facing off against the Dallas Stars.

October brings a mix of home and away games. After the home opener, the Predators travel to Detroit on October 12. They return for a four-game homestand, welcoming Seattle, Edmonton, Detroit, and Boston from October 15-22. The month wraps up with road games against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 25 and the Tampa Bay Lightning on October 28, where Steven Stamkos will face his former team for the first time. The Preds close out October with a home game against Edmonton on October 31.

November features a packed schedule with a blend of home games and road trips. A two-game homestand kicks off the month with Colorado and Los Angeles on November 2-4, followed by road games against Washington and the defending Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers. A historic moment awaits on November 9 as Nashville hosts the NHL's newest team, the Utah Hockey Club. A grueling five-game road trip (November 11-20) sees the Preds battle Colorado, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, and Seattle. They return home to face Winnipeg on November 23 before closing out the month against New Jersey (November 25), Philadelphia (November 27), and Tampa Bay (November 29). This game marks former defenseman Ryan McDonagh's return to Nashville with his new team.

December's schedule includes 13 games, with notable matchups at home against Calgary (December 10), New York Rangers (December 17), Pittsburgh (December 19), and Los Angeles (December 21). The Predators will also host former player Brady Skjei and his Carolina Hurricanes on December 23. They will end the year on the road with games against St. Louis (December 27), Winnipeg (December 30), and Minnesota (December 31).

January features an even split of six home and six away games. The month begins with road games against Vancouver (January 3), Calgary (January 4), and Winnipeg (January 7). A five-game homestand, the longest of the season, sees Nashville hosting Washington, Vegas, Chicago, Minnesota, and San Jose from January 11-21. The month wraps up with road games against San Jose and Anaheim before returning home to face Vancouver and closing out January in Buffalo.

February is a lighter month with six home games and two on the road, including a nearly two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament. The Preds start on the road in Pittsburgh (February 1) before returning home to play Ottawa (February 3) and a back-to-back set against Chicago (February 7) and Buffalo (February 8). After the international break, Nashville hosts Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, and Winnipeg from February 22-27.

March is the busiest month with 16 games, including a mix of home and away matchups. Highlights include a three-game road trip from March 1-4 and home games against Seattle, Chicago, and St. Louis. The month concludes with games against St. Louis, Anaheim, Toronto, and a significant matchup against Vegas on March 29, where Jonathan Marchessault will face his former team.

April, the final month of the regular season, includes eight games starting with road games against Columbus and Dallas. The Predators host Montreal and the New York Islanders before facing Utah and Vegas. The season concludes with home games against Utah and Dallas on April 14 and 16, respectively.

Single-game tickets for the 2024-25 season will be available to the public starting August 28, with presale access beginning on August 27. Fans can sign up for "This Week in Smashville" to receive exclusive presale access.
